Every once in a while, I'm just compelled to take a photograph. The motto is shoot first and ask questions later. We had been out taking winter aerial photos about 10 miles south of Fargo when I saw the tree. It spoke to me.

Why would it be there all by itself? Maybe the farmer left it there so he would pay attention and not run into it. Maybe his parents had planted it. Maybe his grandparents. It's a treasure for sure. It's been a couple years since I took the photo,and the perfect and timely caption just popped up.
